the chanukah story

We all pretended to be the jewish children hiding from the greeks and learning torah...

But when Antiochus came close we quickly hid our Torahs and took out dreidels!

No learning Torah!!!! says Antiochus!

We had an awesome "Olive press workshop" in which we got to learn how to make oil from scratch!

Chanukah!

we found the oil!!

In  Parshat "Vayishlach" how Yaacov and Eisav prepared for their encounter!
the suspense was palpable in the class. We were glad to find out that Eisav did not harm Yaacov!

Eisav was coming, with 400 man, Yaacov Davened to Hashem!

Eisav and his army.

Aleph Bet

Letter "Vav" brought beautiful "Vered" (rose) in a "Vase" ! Also "Vav" says "Vacuum.

Ava shows the class how to make a "Vav" with her body.

We cut out pictures of the words "Vav" says.

Eitan shows another way of making a "Vav"

and Toby made a "Vav" with his finger.

on one of the Aleph Bet centers we had to "Vacuum" with a straw the letter Morah called out.

on another center we shaped Aleph Bet letters with pipe cleaners.

We decorated empty "Vavs" with "Vered petals"

pretty "Vered petals"

This week we learned letter "H". We decorated a big "H" with "Hearts" and put together a house with geometrical shapes. The Highlight of the week was definitely our "Silly Hat Fashion Show"
for math we collected acorns from outside and had to match the amount of acorns with the number on the paper!

This week on "Drum Circle" we got our own little drums! It was awesome! we are getting seriously good at following Morah Danit's rhythms!
