Parshat "Vayera" / Letter Gimmel / Letter "Ee"/ Literacy month - Laura Numeroff books -" If you give a mouse a cookie"

Hi everyone! There was so much learning going on this week ! We better get to it...

Aleph-Bet

Letter Gimmel came to greet us this week! Letter "Gimmel" says "Gavriel", "Gefen" (grapes) and color "Gold".

Shalom Gimmel!



Letter Gimmel says "Gefen" (grapes) which we all got to taste! YUM!


Letter Gimmel says color "Gold". we turned a black Gimmel into a fancy "Golden" one.

We painted Gimmels with "Gefen juice" (grape Juice)


Our Gimmels turned purple from the juice!



We painted and tasted!

Foe morning centers we traced letter Gimmel in shaving cream!

Now with our fingers!



Shalom, Shalom Gimmel....!!!!



Gimmel says Gavriel! This week he was the Aleoh Bet collector!
 For Aleph Bet Yoga , letter "Gimmel" taught us balance. While one Yeled or Yalda had their turn the rest of us were human timers! the results were recorded on a chart!

Finding the letters Morah asked from us to find was our ticket to the breakfast table!





We made "Gefen juice" by squeezing grapes !

Parshat Vayera!

Abraham's tent was so unique! It was perfect to keep the Mitzvah Of Hachnasat Orchim (inviting guests)...

Avraham's tent was on the desert!

We found three guests! yay!


We got to recreate the Parsha ourselves the next morning!



We learned from Abraham the awesome mitzvah of Hachnasat Orchim!

We made super cool welcome mats for our own guests!

We painted our foot prints on it!

We even had a tent to welcome guests!

Yaeli pretended to be Abraham and served all her guests food.

We made sure we did hat during davening in the tent!

 On this Parsha we learned about the grat mitzvah of "Bikur Cholim" (visiting ill people)

We made sure to do that in our class when we called Zalmy when he wasn't feeling well!




We also called Ahyala!!!


We decorated special houses to put our friends phone numbers to make sure we can always call to cheer them up!

Letter "Ee" is such fun letter! We turned "E' into an "Elephant" 
WE made yummy "Egg salad" and decorated an egg with real egg shells . It was so cool!

We decorated "Elephants with Eye stickers"

Literacy Month

Nursery 3 Author: Laura Numeroff

This week we introduced our Author, Before we learned more about Laura Numeroff we needed to understand whats an author and how are books made! 




 Laura Numeroff first book!








Authors come up with characters and a story lines! 

 Most authors get Illustrators to draw the  pictures for their books


 Just like in the book " If you give a mouse a cookie" we made chocolate playdough...




We even added pretend chocolate chips!
